|RKC INSTRUMENT INTRODUCES THE NEW MA SERIES 8-CHANNEL PID CONTROL|
|RKC Instrument Inc. announces the release of the model MA900 Multi-Channel PID Controller. Through increased miniaturization of electronic circuitry, the MA900 greatly reduces the channel density without sacrificing performance normally found in single loop controls. The MA900 is ideal for use in machinery that may need only a few channels of control, which in the past was too expensive to implement in a multi-channel system.
The MA900 from RKC is in an industry standard 1/4 DIN size. It features eight independent autotuning PID loops. The MA900 can replace eight single loop controllers thus saving installation costs as well as operating costs. Multiple MA900's may fit into a single panel cutout.
The advanced MA900 allows up to eight recipes that can easily be set by the operator. This is a savings of time, expense, and insures accuracy of different machine setups. The scan mode of the MA900 automatically sequences through the 4 or 8 channels, so that they may be viewed without pressing the keys on the front panel. RKC's MA900 has Modbus digital communications for easy connections to other devices such as PLC's, computers, and operator interfaces. The Heater Break Alarm function monitors each heater and alarms on either full or partial failure to the heater elements.
The MA900 accepts a wide variety of inputs including thermocouples, RTD, and DC current or voltage inputs. Outputs include relay, voltage pulse, current outputs, and triac. Options also include up to three alarms, heat/cool control, IP65 waterproof/dustproof front panel, current transformer inputs, and loop break alarm.
The MA900 is an ideal instrument for both the end-user and OEM markets for applications that include plastics extrusion, blow molding, ovens, furnaces, kilns, food baking, petro-chemical, semiconductor, test stands, environmental chambers, and other heater processes.
